Under the theme ‘Fostering Accountability in Health,’ counterparts from the three counties will be on hand at the GIZ booth to talk about approaches they have developed to strengthen health sector governance and improve the quality of health service delivery. These include conducting client and employee satisfaction surveys (Kisumu and Kwale counties, respectively), organising annual county health exhibitions (Vihiga county), and institutionalising maternal and perinatal death reviews (Kisumu). For more information about these approaches, please download the information sheets below.
The Health Sector Programme works closely with County Health Management Teams in the counties to design and implement instruments which promote public participation and enhance transparency. The Council of Governors Conference provides and important opportunity for county governments to share the lessons which they have learned with counterparts from across Kenya.
Check back in early May for a report about the event!
